Privacy policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and how you can control it, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Renaud Beaupré, Data Consulting Services (Renaud Beaupré, Conseillers et Services en Informatique), a sole proprietorship based in Montréal, Québec.

The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Renaud Beaupré, who can be reached at renaud@renaudbeaupredata.ca.

What we collect and why

Website analytics, only with your consent: if you click "Accept", Google Analytics records the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your type of device and browser, and your approximate location (city level). We use this only to understand which content is useful and to improve the site. It is not used to identify you.

Booking a call: when you book through Calendly, you provide your name, email address and any answers to the booking questions. We use them to prepare and hold the call, which takes place on Google Meet.

Email: when you write to us, we keep your message and email address to reply and follow up.

Hosting: our host, Vercel, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.

Cookies and your choice

No analytics cookies are placed unless you click "Accept" in the banner. Declining has no effect on how the site works.

Your choice is saved in your browser. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.

Service providers and storage outside Québec

We never sell or rent your personal information. We rely on the following providers: Google (Analytics, Meet, Calendar), Calendly (booking), Vercel (hosting) and Namecheap (email).

Some of these providers store information outside Québec, including in the United States. We assess their protection measures before relying on them.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months. Booking and email information is kept for as long as needed for our business relationship and our legal and accounting obligations, then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw your consent, or ask that we stop using or disseminating it. Write to renaud@renaudbeaupredata.ca; we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
